Where Sanhui dolls sold in the USA are made
Sanhui is based in Nanning, in southern China, and says it was founded in 2010. Its dolls start their trip to the US there, whether you order direct from Sanhui or through a store with a US address.
Before you pay, ask where your doll is right now. A store in the US may still ship your Sanhui from China, and that answer sets your delivery date. Other checks are in how to check a doll store.
US stock vs shipping from China
Delivery time depends less on the store’s address than on where your exact doll is when you order. A Sanhui reaches US buyers by one of three routes.
Route
How long
What to check
Direct from Sanhui
If a full-size doll is not in stock, Sanhui says it usually needs under a week to prepare it; delivery to the US then generally takes around 9 days, via Hong Kong
Shipping is included for qualifying countries and factory photos come before the doll ships, as of October 2026; ask about duties
A store with US stock
Domestic shipping only, if the doll is already there
Ask whether your exact body, head and options are in the US now or still have to come from China
A store ordering from the factory
Factory time, transit to the store’s warehouse, then domestic shipping
Ask for each leg separately: in 2023 one owner waited about 25 days for the factory-to-warehouse leg against a promised 7–10 business days, and Sanhui’s forum account called that normal
Sanhui’s current FAQ describes one route to the US: from China via Hong Kong, with shipping included. Sanhui offered a paid US warehouse option in 2019 and no longer mentions one, so a Sanhui from US stock means the store holds it. Ask the store to confirm.
US customs and tariffs on dolls from China
US import rules changed several times in 2025 and 2026. The timeline below shows where a doll shipped from China stands as of October 2026.
Date
What changed
What it means for a buyer
May 2, 2025
The $800 duty-free limit (de minimis) ended for goods from China and Hong Kong
Small parcels such as a spare wig or a pair of eyes no longer enter duty-free
August 29, 2025
De minimis suspended for all countries
The same applies to small parts shipped from anywhere
February 20, 2026
The Supreme Court ruled 6–3 that the emergency powers law IEEPA does not let the president impose tariffs; an executive order the same day ended IEEPA tariffs, including those on China
Tariffs under Section 232 and Section 301 stayed in place
February 24 to July 24, 2026
A temporary 10% import surcharge under Section 122, for 150 days
It applied to imports during that window
June 24, 2026
CBP made the de minimis suspension indefinite for every shipping method
Every parcel, even under $800, now needs a formal or informal customs entry
July 24, 2026
New Section 301 tariffs on all products from 60 economies; the rate for China is 12.5%
They come on top of the Section 301 tariffs on Chinese goods from 2018–2019
A full-size doll costs far more than $800, so the de minimis rule never covered it; the change matters for spare wigs, eyes and other small add-ons. The tariff rate on the doll itself depends on the HTS code it is classified under, and the older Section 301 tariffs depend on which list that code falls on. A search of CBP’s rulings database turns up no classification ruling for adult dolls, so there is no published rate to quote. Ask the seller what the price includes.
Ordering a Sanhui doll to the US
Ordering direct means one shipment from Sanhui to your door. Sanhui ships to the US, Canada, Europe and most of Asia, parcels leave China via Hong Kong, and Sanhui says delivery to the US generally takes around 9 days. Shipping and handling are included in the price for qualifying countries as of October 2026, and Sanhui takes PayPal and credit cards. Whether US duties and tariffs are included is not stated, so ask before you pay.
Plan for the box. Listed weights for Sanhui’s full-size dolls run from 28 to 38 kg (about 62–84 lb) for standard bodies and up to 53 kg (117 lb) for the tallest AIO models. Boxes for 150–168 cm dolls measure from 150×41×30 to 160×45×40 cm (about 59×16×12 to 63×18×16 in), and the tallest AIO models ship in a 175×47×31 cm box (about 69×19×12 in). Both lines and every height are compared in the Sanhui buyer’s guide.
Sanhui asks buyers to report problems within 48 hours of delivery, so unpack and check the doll the day it arrives. Direct buyers then have six months of free repairs, with shipping both ways paid by the buyer. The Sanhui review covers what owners report after delivery.
What to ask a US seller before you pay
01
Where is the doll now?
A doll in a US warehouse needs only domestic shipping. A doll still at the factory in China adds preparation and international transit, which sets the delivery date more than anything else.
02
Are duties and tariffs included?
Ask who pays if a customs bill arrives after delivery, and get the answer in writing.
03
What is the full timeline?
Ask for production, transit and domestic shipping times separately, so you know which leg sets the date.
04
Will you pass on factory photos?
Sanhui sends photos or video of each doll before it ships. Ask the seller to forward them so you can approve the head, skin tone and options; how to read factory photos explains what to look for.
05
Whose warranty applies?
Sanhui’s six-month repair warranty applies to direct purchases, and a doll bought from a store falls under that store’s policy; where Sanhui sells explains the difference.
Is it legal to bring a doll into the US?
There is no federal US ban on dolls that depict adults. Federal bills and several state laws target only dolls designed to look under 18, which Sanhui Doll Guide does not cover. State rules differ, so read doll laws by state and country before you order. With that checked, a Sanhui order to the US comes down to choosing the body and head, approving the factory photos and planning for a delivery of around 9 days.
Sex dolls in America: FAQ
How long does it take to get a sex doll in America?
It depends on where the doll is when you order. A doll already in a US warehouse needs only domestic shipping. A Sanhui shipped from China generally takes around 9 days to reach the US, plus up to a week of preparation if it is not in stock. A store ordering from the factory adds its own transit leg.
Do I pay customs duty on a sex doll from China?
Tariffs apply to goods from China; the open question is who pays them. As of October 2026 they include a 12.5% Section 301 rate added on July 24, 2026, and the $800 duty-free route is closed. There is no single published rate for dolls, because it depends on the HTS code. Ask the seller whether duties are in the price.
Does Sanhui have a warehouse in the US?
Sanhui offered a US warehouse as a paid shipping option in 2019, but its current FAQ does not mention one and says parcels travel from China via Hong Kong, with US delivery generally around 9 days. Some stores keep Sanhui dolls in their own US warehouses, so ask where your exact doll is if you need it sooner.
Are Sanhui sex dolls made in the USA?
No. Sanhui is based in Nanning, in southern China, and ships its dolls to US buyers via Hong Kong, with shipping included for qualifying countries. A US address tells you where a store is; ask where your doll is right now to know when it will arrive.
Is the $800 de minimis rule gone for good?
As of October 2026 it is suspended indefinitely. The suspension started for China and Hong Kong on May 2, 2025, covered all countries from August 29, 2025, was extended on February 20, 2026, and CBP made it indefinite on June 24, 2026. A full-size doll costs far more than $800 anyway; the change hits small parts.
