What a legit sex doll website looks like

The best sex doll sites prove what they sell. A legit store shows you the doll you ordered before it ships, lets you pay in a way you can dispute and tells you in writing whose warranty applies. A fake store leans on borrowed photos, low prices and pressure to pay fast.

Signs of a trusted store

  • Photos and video of your own doll before shipping, on top of catalog pictures
  • Card or PayPal checkout, so a charge can be disputed
  • A price close to the maker’s list price, or a sale the store can explain
  • Head number, body height and options confirmed in writing
  • A warranty policy that says who repairs the doll

Red flags

  • Payment only by wire transfer, crypto, gift cards or a payment app
  • A price far below the maker’s list price with no explanation
  • Listing photos that a reverse image search finds on older sites
  • A promise of the maker’s own warranty on a doll the store sells
  • Pressure to pay today or to share personal details

Fake sex dolls and fake stores: how big is the risk

Online shopping fraud is common in general. In the Better Business Bureau’s Scam Tracker risk report for 2025, published in August 2026, online purchase scams made up 28.4% of all published reports, more than any other type, and 89.3% of the people who reported one lost money. Counterfeit product scams had the highest loss rate of all, at 90.5%.

For a doll buyer, “fake” can mean a store that takes the money and ships nothing, or a copy sold under a known name with borrowed photos. This guide found no confirmed case of fake Sanhui dolls, and Sanhui’s factory photos of each doll give you a direct way to confirm yours. One large owner forum has banned talk of copies since July 2020 and deletes photos of dolls judged to be copies, so judge a store by what it can prove for your order.

How to check a sex doll seller before you pay

  1. 01

    Reverse-search the photos

Run the listing photos through Google Lens or TinEye. In TinEye, sort results by “Oldest” to see the earliest copy the service knows of. If the same picture appeared earlier somewhere else, such as on the maker’s own site, the listing uses a borrowed photo and proves nothing about stock. More in how to read doll pictures.

  2. 02

Ask for factory photos and video

Sanhui says it sends photos or video of each doll before it ships, and in 2017 it said each video shows a tag with the buyer’s name. A good seller promises pictures of your doll before shipping and forwards them when they arrive.

  3. 03

Compare the price with the maker’s list

As of October 2026, Sanhui lists its standard full-size dolls at $2,599 to $3,249 and its AIO (seamless neck) models at $3,569 to $4,799, before the 10% discount shown on its order page; Sanhui sizes and list prices are summed up in one place. Dealers run sales, so ask the store to explain any price far below that.

  4. 04

    Read owner forums too

A store chooses which reviews appear on its own site. Search owner forums for its name and see how it handles complaints.

  5. 05

    Get the details in writing

Ask the seller to confirm the head number, body height, options, delivery time and warranty by email. You will need that record in any dispute.

Checking a Sanhui seller

Sanhui makes a seller easy to check. Heads carry numbers such as #8 or #23, so ask the seller to name the head and body height, then match them in the factory photos; the guide to Sanhui faces explains the numbering. Because the photos and video arrive before shipping, you can spot a wrong head, skin tone or eye color while the doll is still at the factory.

Sanhui publishes no list of authorized sellers, so these checks apply to every store, the one we link to included. Where Sanhui sells covers the maker’s own store and whose warranty applies.

Pay with a method you can dispute

Card and PayPal payments come with dispute rules, so they protect you if an order goes wrong. The FTC warns that scammers ask you to pay in a specific way: crypto, wire transfers, payment apps or gift cards. Sanhui itself takes a few bank transfers per month alongside PayPal and cards, so a transfer option is normal; a store that accepts nothing else is the warning sign.

What to do if a doll store scams you

  1. 01

    Save the evidence

Keep the order page, emails, chats, receipts and tracking numbers, with dates.

  2. 02

    Open a dispute

For a credit card, send a written dispute so it reaches the issuer within 60 days after the first statement with the charge. For PayPal, file Item Not Received within 180 days of payment.

  3. 03

    Report it

In the US, report fraud to the FTC through ReportFraud and online crime to the FBI’s IC3, which describes itself as the central hub for reporting cyber-enabled crime.

  4. 04

    Handle a damaged delivery

Owner forum advice is to refuse a damaged box, photograph everything and not use the doll until the problem is settled. For a Sanhui doll bought direct, report the problem within 48 hours.

  5. 05

    Choose forum mediation early

One large owner forum mediates disputes, but only with vendors and makers listed there, only if you registered before delivery and only before you open a PayPal or bank dispute. Decide which route to take first.

Legit sex doll websites: FAQ

How can you tell if a sex doll website is legit?

Check what the store can prove. A legit store sends photos and video of your doll before shipping, takes cards or PayPal, confirms the head, height and options in writing and says who handles repairs. Reverse-search its listing photos and read owner forums. Payment only by wire transfer, crypto or gift cards is a red flag.

Are fake sex dolls common?

Counterfeits are a costly risk in online shopping: in the BBB report for 2025, counterfeit product scams had the highest loss rate of any scam type, at 90.5%. This guide found no confirmed case of fake Sanhui dolls, and Sanhui’s factory photos let you confirm your own doll before it ships. One large owner forum has banned talk of copies since 2020, so check the store itself.

Is the store this site links to an authorized Sanhui seller?

Sanhui publishes no list of authorized sellers, so no store can be confirmed that way, the store we link to included. Hold it to the same standard as any seller: factory photos and video of your doll, the head number and height confirmed in writing, card or PayPal payment and its own warranty terms.

What is the safest way to pay for a doll?

A credit card or PayPal, because both have dispute rules. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, a written card dispute must reach the issuer within 60 days after the first bill. PayPal accepts Item Not Received claims within 180 days of payment. Avoid stores that accept only crypto, gift cards or wire transfers.

Is a very cheap sex doll a red flag?

A price far below the maker’s list is a reason for caution, though not proof of a scam. As of October 2026, Sanhui lists standard full-size dolls from $2,599 and AIO models from $3,569, before the 10% discount on its order page. Dealers do run sales, so ask the store to explain the price, confirm the head number and height in writing and send factory photos of your doll.
